Abstract:

The nature of the Norilsk industrial region (NIR) is vulnerable to mining and metallurgical industry waste. A large amount of waste enters water bodies located on the territory of the NIR, therefore the investigation of the quality of water bodies surrounding the industrial zone is a very important task for the protection of the environment. The main pollutants of reservoirs are heavy metals and their compounds. The article gives an assessment of water quality, based on the study of the chemical and microelement composition of lake and river water. The ecotoxicological state of the investigated lakes and rivers has been analyzed.
