Abstract: The Subpolar and Northern Urals, which are part of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, remain the most undeveloped regions of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra. The development of mineral and energy resources in the territory is part of state programs for the socio-economic development of the Arctic. The article considers the existing and potential anthropogenic impacts on the geosystems of the study area. An approach to assess the stability of geosystems to anthropogenic impact is analyzed. An assessment scale and a matrix of the integral stability degree of geosystems for mountainous areas have been developed.
