Abstract: The article considers the development of ethno-tourism as one of the areas of traditional economic activity among the indigenous peoples of the North in the Russian Arctic. The study purpose and relevance is concerned with the identification and assessment of the economic contribution of ethno-tourism to one of the three sectors of the Arctic economy, namely the sector of the traditional economy associated with ensuring the economic well-being and social well-being of the local population. Ethno-tourism is understood as a type of tourism activity in which representatives of the indigenous population participate, as an area of the Arctic economy that generates income and promotes employment. Using the example of the Arctic regions, the authors have identified various forms and directions of the development of ethno-tourism, as well as support measures, including the creation of information and business centers, the development of tourism and transport infrastructure, and involvement of mining companies.
