Abstract: Recently, the issue of introduction of advanced scientific research in the Arctic is becoming increasingly relevant and it is especially acute to environmental and social projects. The consolidation of the efforts of science, government and business is aimed at finding the best ways of implementation scientific projects. But in fact, it turns out that numerous finished scientific developments are not ready for implementation: they do not fit into the technological chains of the corresponding production, they are not adapted to specific technical, environmental and other conditions, etc. Temporary Interdisciplinary Research Team YAMAL (as division of The Institute of Oil and Gas Geology and Geophysicist of the SB RAS) performs the role of an integrator, solves these problems, using established connections in the scientific community and with large companies operating in the natural resources sector and state structures, finding the best ways to introduce scientific developments, helping prospective projects find their way. All projects undergo an efficiency evaluation. For environmental and social projects has been developed an approach to evaluation, selection system and criteria of efficiency. As part of its work, the Temporary Interdisciplinary Research Team YAMAL is implementing a new approach to the formation of links between fundamental science, business structures and the state. Reduction of gaps in such ties, development of tools for sustainable cooperation, implementation of projects and the formation of new technological chains — this is a significant result of the five-year work of the team. Acting as an innovative mediator, that is, in fact, being a new organizational and legal form for the scientific environment, the TIRT YAMAL has prepared prospective scientific projects (more than 100) that should be implemented in the Arctic. The main distinction of the TIRT YAMAL is the interdisciplinary nature and the concentration of key competencies in various fields of science. In the process of selecting and evaluating scientific projects, the goal was not only to achieve commercial benefits, but an attempt was made to find socially significant developments, as well as projects that solve the environmental problems of the Arctic region of the Russian Federation.
