Abstract:

The author analyses main problematic issues of the regional aviation current state in the Far North, Siberia and the Far East, and systematizes the key negative factors that characterize the regional aviation current state in the above-mentioned region. The article presents the state of infrastructure, airport equipment and outlines the lack of type variety in modern aircraft of the regional segment and, as a result, a low level of population mobility and transport accessibility in general. Thus the author emphasizes the need for the mandatory equipment of the airfield network and routes in terms of modern means and technologies in the field of air traffic management, meteorological support, the availability of modern instrumental landing systems and other radio navigation systems, which in turn is the most critical for ensuring round-the-clock operation of the Arctic airfields located beyond the polar circle. The work proves that today state of regional aviation can be assessed as recessionary, but with the prospect of development and positive trends resulting from the implementation of state support measures. As a result of the study, the author proposes practical solutions and scientifically based recommendations on measures of state support for regional aviation.
