Areas of scientific activity:

• The study of the effects of anthropogenic impact on natural ecosystems and the functioning features of freshwater ecosystems in extreme natural and man-made conditions of the North.
• Development of the diagnostics concept for aquatic ecosystems, based on a system of biological markers and contributing to the preservation and enhancement of aquatic biological resources.
• Development of histopathological and biochemical criteria for assessing water quality to determine the critical loads on aquatic ecosystems; identifying development patterns of structural and functional changes in fish organisms in technologically transformed aquatic ecosystems; obtaining new data on the mechanisms of fish adaptation to extreme natural conditions and anthropogenic influences.
