I.E. Frolov is a leading expert in the field of marine ice study, polar meteorology, oceanology, climatology, and the study of the hydro-meteorological, first of all, ice-hydrological conditions of the Arctic Ocean and the Arctic seas.
He is the author of more than 120 scientific papers, 6of which are monographs, and 3 of them are published in Russian and English.
