Areas of scientific activity:

  • the creation and application of new methods and technologies  for comprehensive regional and local geological and geophysical studies of oil-and-gas content and geophysical monitoring of fields development in various seismic and geological conditions of the World Ocean and land (including the Arctic);
  • study of oil-and-gas content of the World Ocean main basins with a priority on the Arctic seas of the Eastern and Western hemispheres (Russia, Norway, the USA, Canada, Denmark) and the deep-water zone of the Arctic Ocean;
  • geo-ecological studies in the Arctic and the World Ocean, including explosive degassing of the Earth;
  • improving the efficiencyandenvironmentalsafetyof the oil and gasindustry;
  • analysis of trends in the global oil and gas industry and the elaboration of recommendations for the development strategy of the fuel and energy complex of Russia.

Repeatedly participated in the Arctic and the World Ocean field research.

Author and co-author of more than 400 scientific papers, including 18 copyright certificates and patents, 19 monographs, the Handbook “Seismic survey”, 11 atlases of regional gas-and-oil content.
