Areas of scientific activity:  

• Studies of transitional and emergency conditions, development of the theory of automatic emergency protection of nuclear power plants;
• Safety studies of underground nuclear power plants;
• Development of nuclear facilities with thermoelectric energy converters;
• Systemic research on the development of programs for the large-scale utilization of ships decommissioned from the atomic fleet and the ecological rehabilitation of the infrastructure facilities;
• Problem studies of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, of safety and security of objects of the gas industry transport systems.

Publications:

A.Sarkisov is the author of 36 monographs, 15 inventions, 19 textbooks and manuals, more than 280 scientific articles, presentations and technical reports.
