PRIVACY POLICYThe Privacy Policy of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the Policy) is applied to all information that the Journal “Arctic: Ecology and Economy” and/or its affiliated persons and organizations (hereinafter referred to as the "Journal") can receive about the user of the Internet(hereinafter referred to as the Author) as a result of his registration on the Journal’s website in order to gain access to the online downloading service of scientific articles into the Journal’s database (hereinafter referred to as the Service). Registration on the website of the Journal and use of the Service means the unconditional consent of the Author with this Policy and the terms of processing his personal information specified therein; in case of disagreement with these terms, the Author should refrain from registering on the Journal’s website. 1. Personal information of the Author. 1.1. Within the framework of this Policy, the "personal information of the Author" means: 1.1.1. Personal information that the Author provides about himself when registering (creating an account) or in the process of using the Service, including personal data of the Author. The information required for providing the Service is specially marked. Other information is provided by the User at its discretion. 1.1.2. Other information about the Author, processing of which is provided by the terms of the Service use. 1.2. The Journal proceeds from the fact that the Author provides reliable and sufficient personal information and maintains this information in an up-to-date state. The consequences of providing inaccurate or insufficient information are defined in the User Agreement. 2. The purposes of processing the personal information of the Author. 2.1. The Journal collects and stores only that personal information that is necessary for the provision of the Service or the performance of agreements and contracts with the Author, except in cases when the law provides for the mandatory storage of personal information during the period specified by law. 2.2. Personal information of the Author is processed by the Journal for the following purposes: 2.2.1. Identification of the Author within the framework of providing the online downloading Service of scientific articles into the database of the Journal; 2.2.2. Conclusion of license agreements between the Author and the Journal; 2.2.3. Communication with the Author, including sending notifications, requests and information regarding the use of the Service, the execution of agreements and contracts, and processing requests from the Author; 2.2.4. Conducting statistical and other studies based on impersonal data. 3. Terms for processing the Author’s personal information and transferring it to the third parties. 3.1. The Journal stores personal information of the Author in accordance with internal regulations. 3.2. With regard to the personal information of the Author, its confidentiality is preserved, except for cases when the Author freely provides information about himself for general access to an unlimited number of persons. When using the Service, the Author agrees that a certain part of his personal information becomes publicly available. 3.3. The Journal has the right to transfer personal information of the Author to the third parties in the following cases: 3.3.1. The Author has expressed his consent to such actions; 3.3.2. The transfer is necessary to ensure the use of the Service or to execute an agreement or contract between the Author and the Journal; 3.3.3. The transfer is provided by Russian law in accordance with the established procedure; 3.3.4. In order to ensure the possibility of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the Journal or the third parties in cases where the Author violates the User Agreement, this Policy or the Rules for sending, publishing and reviewing scientific articles. 3.3.5. As a result of processing the Author’s personal information via its impersonalizing, depersonalized statistical data is obtained, which is transferred to a third party for research, performance of work or provision of services on behalf of the Journal. 3.4. When processing the personal data of the Author, the Journal is guided by the Federal Law of the Russian Federation "On Personal Data". 4. Personal information change and deleting. 4.1. The Author can change (update, supplement, delete) his personal information at any time by using the function of editing personal data in the "Personal Information" section of the account on the Journal’s website. The account is accessed through authorization (the "Authorization" button on the main page of the Journal’s site or in the "Authors" tab). 4.2. Removing the personal information of the Author or part thereof may result in the impossibility of using the Service. 4.3. The rights provided for in cl. 4.1. and 4.2. of this Policy may be restricted in accordance with the requirements of the law. In particular, such restrictions may provide for the duty of the Journal to keep the information changed or deleted by the Author for a period established by law and to transmit such information in accordance with a legally established procedure to a public authority. 5. Measures used to protect the Author’s personal information. 5.1. The Journal takes necessary and sufficient organizational and technical measures to protect the Author’s personal information from unauthorized or accidental access, destruction, modification, blocking, copying, distribution, as well as from other illegal actions with it by the third parties. 6. Changing the Privacy Policy. 6.1. The Journal has the right to amend this Privacy Policy. When making changes to the current version, the date of the last update is indicated. The new version of the Policy shall come into force from the moment of its placement, unless otherwise provided by the new edition of the Policy. The current version is available at http://arctica-ac.ru/contents/31/. 6.2. To this Policy and the relationship between the Author and the Journal arising in connection with the application of the Privacy Policy, the law of the Russian Federation is applicable.
